A group of payers and providers of healthcare openly expressed their support for a congressional subcommittee to push the Social Determinants Accelerator Act forward. The letter of support, which was written by Aligning for Health, a healthcare membership group contains signatures from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Humana, Centene, and other payers. The bill would establish a council on socioeconomic determinants of health, offer funds to enhance evidence-based health care, and encourage cross-sector information sharing.
