Recently the Department of Veterans Affairs announced a $1 billion contract opportunity to provide remote care monitoring and telehealth services to veterans. The deal is for remote patient monitoring and telemedicine devices, which will be distributed to VA facilities and veterans. A platform hub with cellular and “plain old telephone service,” or POTS, capacity; peripherals like as pedometers, spirometers, and non-pharmacy digital blood glucose meter cables or adapters that connect with VA-provided ones; and setup guidelines are also part of the contract.
