In the first half of 2021, the total net loss was $333.5 million, compared to $55.3 million in the same period in 2020. At the same time, the company announced that its second-quarter sales earnings of $503 million had more than quadrupled from the previous year.

The company aims to operate its telehealth services when it completes the acquisition of virtual care provider MeMD. “We’ve expressed our interest in offering telehealth via an acquisition that is pending regulatory clearance, and these filings are related to that effort, not physical Walmart Health locations,” a company spokesperson said.
