The Green Mountain Care Board, Vermont’s healthcare regulatory authority, has urged Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont and MVP Health Plan to reduce their projected premium rates for members in 2022. BCBSVT had requested a 5.2 percent average yearly rate hike, while MVP Health Plan had proposed a 17 percent raise. The planned rates have been decreased to an average of 4.7 percent and 12.7 percent, respectively, by the board.
