Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts and CVS Caremark, CVS Health’s pharmacy benefit management division, have announced a new cooperation focused at making the pharmacy experience easier for members and employers while also improving health outcomes and saving costs. Beginning January 1, 2023, CVS Caremark will help Blue Cross in managing pharmacy benefit services for its commercial and Medicare groups and individual health plans. The new agreement is expected to save Blue Cross customers between 10% and 15% on pharmaceutical prices over the course of the three-year contract.
