Brent Layton was named president and COO, while Sarah London was named vice-chair of Centene’s board of directors, according to a press release issued Sept. 7. After serving as president of Centene U.S. health plans, products, and international as well as executive vice president, Mr. Layton assumes his new post. He has been with Centene for 20 years, specializing in health plan growth and strategy. Ms. London takes over as president of Centene Health Care Enterprises and executive vice president of advanced technologies from her prior post. Her responsibilities will widen in her new post, although they will still cover healthcare enterprises and technology.
