Rhode Island Blue Cross and Blue Shield CMO Matthew Collins, MD will serve as the chief physician for the United States rowing team at the Tokyo Olympics, which begin on July 23. Matthew Collins earned a gold medal at the 1993 World Rowing Championships in Czechoslavakia, making him the World Rowing Champion of the year. Dr. Collins will oversee scheduling and delivering COVID-19 testing, as well as doing frequent check-ins with the team’s 37 players.
