To expand clinical trials access for people from variegated backgrounds, CVS is collaborating with Medable, a unicorn digital clinical trial firm, to increase clinical trial appointments at CVS MinuteClinics. Tony Clapsis, general manager and senior vice president of CVS Health Clinical Trial Services, said: “Vulnerable populations often have limited access to healthcare. Over 40% of the vulnerable population in the US lives within five miles of a CVS Pharmacy location, so we have a chance to engage them.”
